DID YOU KNOW?

Did you know that the earth is covered with very special rocks called crystals? These crystals are a special kind of mineral because their molecules fit together in a repeating pattern. This makes crystals form all sorts of unique shapes and colors!

HOW ARE THEY FORMED?

Many crystals have only one color, some have three or more while others come only in black or colorless. How do crystals form in nature? Well, this happened many years ago when liquid rock (also known as magma) cools down slowly. Depending on how it cools, the crystals form and become various kinds of gemstones and minerals like amethysts, jade, tourmaline and even valuable ones like emeralds, rubies and diamonds.
