Tiger Eye is a chatoyant (meaning a gem that shows a band or ring of bright reflected light) gemstone that is usually a metamorphic rock. This unique crystal comes in golden to red-brown color with a silky luster. The tiger eye stone is composed of intergrowths of moganite and quartz.
